How Trivia Mountain works
A free daily quiz with rising stakes. 15 multiple-choice questions that get harder as you climb — worth more points the higher you go, and costing you just as much when you get one wrong.

- Four options each, ordered from easy to genuinely hard. Exactly one is correct.
- Right answers add, wrong ones subtract
- A miss costs exactly what a hit would have paid. Guessing is never free, and your total can go negative.
- The stakes rise as you climb
- Question one is worth 10 points. Question 15 is worth 150 — almost a third of a perfect round.
- 2 skips per round
- Pass on a question at no cost. Skips do not carry over, and are not available on question 15.
- Walk away to bank your score
- Ends the round and keeps every point earned. Offered once your skips are gone, and always on question 15.
- No account, no timer
- Nothing to install and nothing to sign up for. Take as long as you like on each question.

Scoring
What each question is worth
Six stages, rising in value. Each figure is both the reward for a correct answer and the penalty for a wrong one.

Before you play
Does it cost anything?
No. Every round is free and there is nothing to buy. Running costs will be covered by advertising, which is not on the site yet.
Do I need an account?
No — no sign-up, no login, no email address. Opening the page puts you straight on question one. Your score is never stored anywhere: it lives in your browser for the round, then it is gone.
How often do the questions change?
A new set of 15 is published every day at around 04:00 UTC. Everyone playing on the same day gets the same questions.
Can I replay the same day’s questions?
Yes, as often as you like — you will see the same 15 until the next day’s set arrives. It is a useful way to test whether walking away earlier would have scored better.
Am I being timed?
No. Nothing counts down and there is no penalty for thinking. Only wrong answers cost you points.
What does a wrong answer actually cost?
Exactly what a correct one would have paid. A miss on question 15 costs 150 points, your total can go negative, and the round continues either way.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The board and the question ladder adapt to small screens, and there is nothing to install.
What if an answer looks wrong?
Send it through the contact page and it will get fixed. Questions are generated automatically and nobody fact-checks them by hand, so mistakes do get through.
